What to Expect
My headshot sessions are designed to be quick, comfortable, and efficient. In just 15–30 minutes, we’ll capture a series of clean, professional images in my studio with flattering lighting and simple, timeless backdrops. I’ll guide you through natural posing and expressions, so even if you’re not used to being in front of the camera, you’ll feel relaxed and look your best. And you’ll get to choose your final images before you leave!
Headshot sessions are by appointment only. My home studio is based in Hudson, Ohio, but you may also choose to shoot on-location for an extra fee. Sessions are available any day of the week, but must be booked at least 24 hours in advance (my availability varies).

Frequently Asked Questions
What color backdrops are available?
I have white, black and every shade in between when it comes to backdrops. In addition, there are some different colors (such as green, blue, pink and red) if you want to jazz it up a bit. I’m also very excited to offer a few different “office/loft” scenes shown above.
How much retouching should you expect?
My goal with retouching is to help you look like your best, most polished self—not someone else entirely. I’ll gently smooth skin, reduce blemishes, and take care of any temporary distractions (like stray hairs or under-eye shadows), all while keeping your natural features intact. If there’s something specific you would like addressed, just let me know. I want you to feel confident and authentic in your final images.
How does image selection work?
We will review and select your favorite images at the session. Full edits will be done on your final images only. You can expect delivery of your final JPG image(s) within 48 hours. Unedited or RAW files are not available for purchase.
What should you wear?
- Keep it classic: Solid, neutral or jewel-toned colors photograph best. Avoid busy patterns, logos, or anything too trendy.
- Avoid Small Patterns (Moire Effect): Tiny stripes, checks, or intricate patterns may look great in person, but they can cause a distracting visual distortion on camera called moire. This effect makes patterns appear to ripple or shimmer in photos, especially on screens, and it can’t always be fixed in editing. For best results, stick to solid colors or larger, subtle patterns that won’t compete with your face or distract from your expression.
- Fit matters: Choose clothing that fits well and feels good. Avoid anything too loose or too tight.
- Layers add polish: A blazer or structured top always adds a professional touch—even over a simple tee or blouse.

Absolutely! I am happy to shoot headshots outdoors or at your place of business (an additional fee may apply). Contact me to discuss further.
