Your baby’s first few years are a whirlwind of growth, love, and milestones. That tiny giggle, those wobbly first steps, the way their eyes light up when they see you—these are the fleeting moments you’ll want to remember years from now.
With a warm, patient approach I strive to tell the story of your little one’s beautiful, one-of-a-kind journey. A photo session is more than just pictures. It’s a time capsule. It’s the chance to freeze this beautiful, chaotic, love-filled season of life so you can revisit it again and again. Because one day, when the house is quieter and the toys aren’t scattered across the floor, you’ll hold those photos in your hands and remember exactly how it felt to love them this small.
The Milestone Session Experience
Milestone sessions are for babies 3 months and older. Baby is the main focus of this photography session, but parents and siblings are welcome to jump in for a few pictures. The session itself typically lasts around 45-60 minutes before baby totally loses interest. I have a variety of props and accessories to highlight baby’s current stage, no matter if it’s pushing up, sitting or standing.

what if my baby won’t cooperate?
Every child needs something different to be successful at their session. Some kids dive right in with full smiles and others need time to acclimate to me and their environment. And some are serious the whole time — which I honestly adore. I love building a connection with children no matter their needs, and really try to make the whole session fun and stress-free for everyone involved. Remember, babies feed off your energy, so try to leave your stress at home.
What type of outfits do you recommend?
Little baby outfits are so darling, it’s really hard to go wrong! There are just a few tips I would share. First, make sure the clothing fits well. If it’s too large/baggy, it’ll be really obvious in the photos. Second, be careful with too many layers. They can become overwhelming quickly. For example, puffy vests are darling, but the collar tends to just get in the way. Third, think twice about ornery accessories that you need to constantly fix (like suspenders and big bows). By the time it gets fixed, I will have missed the shot. And last, I’d avoid really bright/neon colors as they tend to reflect on the face.
What is the best time of day to schedule a milestone photography session?
This answer completely depends on your baby and his/her schedule. I always ask “when is baby’s happiest time of day,” because it is definitely wise to plan around nap and eating schedules when setting a time to meet. And don’t worry, we can adjust our meeting time if your baby’s schedule changes. Just let me know.
What if my baby isn’t feeling well?
If you or a family member is sick (or have come into contact with someone who is contagious), please reschedule. There is no fee to do so. And take my word for it, little ones who don’t feel good do not do well for photos.
