Three-Sport Athlete Senior Pictures in Hudson, Ohio | Trent’s Senior Session

When a senior plays three sports, narrowing down the theme for senior pictures can be a little tricky. Why choose just one?

For Trent, a member of the Hudson High School Class of 2027, we decided not to.

Trent is a multi-sport athlete, playing football, basketball, and lacrosse, so his senior session was all about finding creative ways to incorporate the things that have been such a big part of his high school experience.

We started the evening in downtown Hudson, using the brick streets and buildings for a few quick portraits before heading over to Hudson High School for the main part of the session. I love the contrast between the downtown images and the stadium portraits—it gives the gallery a little more variety while still keeping the focus on Trent.

Once we got to the stadium, we took things onto the field for a mix of traditional senior portraits and some more creative images.

One of my favorite ideas from the session was finding a way to bring all three of Trent’s sports into one photo. We used a football, basketball, and lacrosse stick together to create a few portraits that represents all three sports without needing to choose a favorite.

And then there was Pickles.

Of course, no senior session is complete without including the family dog when the opportunity presents itself. Pickles joined us for a few photos at the stadium, adding a completely different—and very fun—element to the session.

I love when senior pictures can tell a little bit of the story of who someone is without making the entire session feel overly staged. For athletes, that might mean incorporating a stadium or field. For someone who plays multiple sports, it might mean finding a creative way to bring them all together. And sometimes, it means bringing the dog along for a few photos.

That’s what made Trent’s session so perfect. We were able to capture the athlete, the senior, and the personality behind both—while using locations that are actually meaningful to his high school experience.
