Hudson High School Baseball Senior Pictures | Max’s Senior Session
When your sport has been such a big part of your high school experience, it makes sense to bring a little bit of it into your senior pictures. For Max, a member of the Hudson High School Class of 2027 and a second baseman for the baseball team, his school ballpark was the perfect place to do just that.
We started Max’s senior session at Hudson Springs Park before heading down the road to the ballpark for the second half of his session. I love using multiple locations during senior sessions because it gives the final gallery a lot more variety—and in this case, the transition from the park to the baseball field worked especially well.
The evening ended up being much cloudier than we originally expected, but I’m not complaining. The softer, moodier sky gave some of the images a little extra drama, especially with the ballpark and scoreboard in the background.
Some of my favorite images from Max’s session were taken right on the field. We incorporated second base, of course, along with the stands and dugout, creating portraits that hint at his love of baseball without making the entire session feel like a sports photo shoot.
And that scoreboard? Definitely one of my favorite backdrops from the evening.
I also loved photographing Max in the dugout. There’s something about using the actual places that are part of a senior’s high school experience that makes their portraits feel more personal. These aren’t just photos taken at a random baseball field—they’re images connected to his time at Hudson High School.
One of my favorite things about senior photography is finding ways to make a session feel personal to each senior. For athletes, that might mean incorporating their school field, court, stadium, or favorite sport. It doesn’t necessarily mean spending the entire session in a uniform or posing with a ball. Sometimes it’s as simple as choosing a location that means something to them.
Max’s session was a great example of that—classic senior portraits, a little bit of baseball, a beautiful evening in Hudson, and a few dramatic clouds thrown in for good measure.
