5 Favorite Newborn Photo Props
With more than a decade photographing newborn babies, I have gone through my fair share of newborn photo props. In fact, when I first started out, my collection of props was huge. From buckets and baskets, to cribs and crates, I wanted it all. The more photography props the better!
But over the years, I’ve definitely taken on the “quality over quantity” mantra. While I still have an abundance of newborn props in my storage area, there are a small number of them that I find myself using session after session. They are the perfect size for newborns and sturdy for your baby’s safety. And when I really love a prop, you might notice I have it in multiple colors.
I hope you enjoy a selection of my favorite newborn photo props below!
1. Heart Bowl
A true representation of how much your new baby fills your heart with love. Baby is so sweet all snug and cozy in my heart bowl prop. I love how there are two different ways to showcase this lovely shape.
2. Basket
I may have a few other baskets I love as well (just a few, wink wink). I adore the round one so much I have it in white as well. Baskets can be so versatile. They’re a great way to add some interest to the photo and help prop baby up at the right angle.
3. Bucket
A bucket is a wonderfully sturdy prop to use for baby. It’s great for those sibling shots, when big brother or sister isn’t comfortable holding baby.
