Every spring, the cherry blossoms bloom at Wade Lagoon in Cleveland’s University Circle and transform the area into the most stunning, picturesque setting for all who visit. The lagoon, nestled within Wade Park and adjacent to the Cleveland Museum of Art, is lined with pink and white cherry blossom trees that make for the perfect location for spring senior pictures. The delicate flowers create a dreamy, romantic backdrop for a timeless, elegant look.

The cherry blossoms typically reach their peak bloom between late March and late April, depending on the weather. Once in bloom, the beautiful color usually only lasts one to two weeks, so if you have your heart set on this location, you must act fast. A flexible schedule is also very important, since spring weather in Ohio is notoriously unpredictable.

In addition to the stunning florals, Wade Lagoon is right next to the Cleveland Museum of Art. The museum’s grand architecture and beautiful marble staircase provides wonderful variety in your photos.

I would venture to say that these few colorful weeks at Wade Lagoon are some of the most popular days to visit the area. If you’re lucky enough to go there on a sunny, warm evening, you can expect a large crowd and parking woes. But it is well worth it for the amazing senior photos we will capture.

And if you’d prefer shooting at this location during a different season, that is no problem. It is beautiful throughout the summer and fall, featuring lush green lawns and colorful landscaping.
