You’re ready to book. So what happens next?
So, you’ve checked out my website and Facebook page and you love what you see. We’ve even chatted back and forth a bit via email or phone and things are sounding good (and if we haven’t chatted, give me a call! I’d love to hear from you!). Newborn photos are definitely something you want done and we are a great match. You’re ready to book. So what happens next?
Well first, I welcome all my clients to visit me and check out the studio if you’re interested. I love showing you all I have to offer. And I’m pretty sure every mom that comes in here feels like a kid in a candy store! So many pretty, fun things to look at and pick out for your little one. But this is certainly an optional meeting. If you’re happy with our conversations and what you’ve seen online, that’s fine too. Let’s get you booked for your newborn session!
To officially book your session, I require a non-refundable retainer and signed contract. Once your session is booked, I will add your due date to my calendar. Then when baby arrives, I ask that you please contact me within 48 hours of birth to schedule your session. At that point, I will look at my availability as well as my assistant’s, and send you back some firm session date options. All newborn sessions take place on weekdays only.
Now for the fun stuff! During the booking process, I will have you fill out a questionnaire. Your answers will help guide me as to what your style and tastes are. This is the perfect time to request certain colors and poses, as well as setups of mine that you love. You are welcome to send me screen shots or a Pinterest board for inspiration. I actually set up for your session the night before, so it’s important to be as detailed as possible to ensure that everything I choose matches your vision.
Once these things are done, you are all set! We just wait for baby to arrive and get your session firmly scheduled. Then you can sit back and relax at the studio while I work my magic! xoxo
